Terms and Conditons regarding party bookings

Please carefully read through the do's and dont's. As we are not a party venue but a restaurant we need to be quite strict when it comes to the requirements of hosting a birthday party at our restaurant

  • Please note that breakfast is served from 09:00 - 11:00, only on weekends. No main menu items can be ordered during those times. Main menu items can only be ordered after 11:00.
  • Please note due to high demand for reservations we have decided to implement a time slot for bookings, so the restaurant does not get so overcrowded. As well as to take some pressure off of our kitchen, allowing us to give the best possible service from our waiters and to give the best quality of food from our kitchen. Not only for the restaurant’s behalf but also for the customer so they can enjoy their meal and not feel crowded with surrounding reservations.

    - Time slots will be as follows:
    - 10:00 am-12:30 pm
    - 13:00 pm-15:30 pm
    - 16:00 pm-18:30 pm
    - 19:00 pm-21:00 pm

    - Exceptions can/might be made for certain reservations regarding time slots if your booking is for a large number of people (eg: 40 adults or more kids not included).

    - Please ask for assistance on this matter via email, exceptions can only be given depending on a number of circumstances (eg: date and time of booking)
  • You are more than welcome to bring either a cake or cupcakes free of charge, if you choose to bring both or a second cake, we will charge you a ‘cakeage’ on the second cake or additional cupcakes, the fee is R250.
  • You are welcome to store your cake in our fridges until you wish to serve it to your guests. However, doing so is at your own risk and we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage that may occur while it is in our possession. If you plan on bringing a cake that can melt easily (like an ice cream cake) please inform us beforehand so that we can make appropriate arrangements to make space for it in our freezers.
  • Regarding party packs/gift bags, you are also more than welcome to bring them, only if you take one of our kids set menu options. The party packs may not contain: any noise making devices that will disturb other customers, and they may not contain juice boxes/drinks.
  • Please note you may NOT put bowls of chips or sweets, or platters of fruit on the table.
  • All Food and Drink items must be ordered from Italio: Modern Italian Kitchen, NO outside items will be allowed on premise for any booking.
  • Large bookings will be required to pay a deposit depending on the number of people attending. The deposit is R50 per person, including children. In the unlikely event that the booking is cancelled on the day of the reservation your deposit will be forfeited. If you cancel your booking 24 hours beforehand, your deposit will be paid back to you. The deposit will get deducted from your bill once you are ready to pay.
  • The banking details are: Standard Bank Centurion Business Center Branch code: 051001 Acc no: 271 576 537 Ref: Your name and date of booking. e.g., Jennifer 20/05 Please send proof of payment to bookings@italio.co.za
  • Any booking “later that 45min will be cancelled automatically” unless you have informed the restaurant that you will be late or that the time slot has changed.
  • With a large booking we will require everyone to eat or order at the very least 3 Main meals for every 4 people. If the required amount of food does not get ordered the deposit will be forfeited.
  • All large bookings must be confirmed via email a week in advance. Deposits are essential to confirm your booking.
  • Please note: If you arrive on the day with more people than originally booked for, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to add more tables/chairs or give additional space. We build tables according to the final numbers you give.
  • OUR INDEMNITY SIGN ON PREMISES STATES THE FOLLOWING AND BY AGREEING TO OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS OR ENTERING THE PREMISE YOU DO AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING:

    INDEMNITY: THE USE OF THIS EQUIPMENT IS ENTIRELY AT OWN RISK. THE OWNERS & EMPLOYEES ACCEPT NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY THEFT, LOSS, OR DAMAGE TO ANY PROPERTY, OR FOR ANY INJURY ARISING OF WHATSOEVER NATURE REGARDLESS OF THE CAUSE OF SUCH DAMAGE OR INJURY. USE OF THIS EQUIPMENT CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS AND AN INDEMNIFICATION OF THE OWNERS OR EMPLOYEES AGAINST ALL SUCH CLAIMS.

    NO CHILDREN OVER THE AGE OF 12 YEARS MAY USE THE PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT.

    CHILDREN ARE TO BE SUPERVISED BY A RESPONSIBLE ADULT AT ALL TIMES

    With this in mind, we do have personnel trained in medical aid and firefighting, and are willing to help with any situation that arises. We do our best to make sure that the entire kids’ play area is safe, we do have childminders to look after the kids but unfortunately, they can’t always look after every client’s kid, all the time. We do take your safety and personal belongings seriously and we do want you to have a great time here at Italio where you can sit and enjoy your meal, where the kids can play.


  • Please note: We do not request specific tables! We do have to sometimes move bookings around to accommodate space. We will try to keep you in the same area.
  • Please note: We require the following.
    • A reachable cell phone number
    • The Final Numbers for the planned event
    • If you acquire kiddies’ tables (1-8 of age)
  • We do not accept responsibility if you have overbooked your event. E.g., If you book for 10 people and 15 people show up, we cannot promise to have space for extra people. Not because we don’t want to but because we place our tables over the weekend so we can fit all our reservations and still have space for walk in rotation tables.
  • Decorations for parties

    • Decorations to a “certain extent” will be allowed for parties. Please feel free to call and speak to one of the shop's managers regarding decorations - As we are not a party venue but a restaurant, and we cannot have decorations/clowns/snakes/etc. interrupting other guests or parties at our restaurant.
    • We do not allow backdrops, back sheets, big balloon arches, big posters, own tables etc. We only have limited space, and this takes up extra space that we unfortunately cannot accommodate. If you are uncertain about the decoration, please feel free to ask one of the managers. But if we see that one of the decorations is unfitting, due to space, we will ask you to please not bring it into the shop.
    • We offer kiddies tables and chairs, please let us know in advance whether you will require them for your booking.

    Drinks

    • With large bookings we often find people who like to pre-order drinks for the table like 1L Sangria, bottles of water/wine or 1L carafes of fruit juice. Please let us know in advance if you would like to do this.
    • You are also welcome to bring in your own wine provided it is not a wine we sell, please look at our website to see the wine list. You will be charged a R50 corkage fee per 750ml bottle. (Maximum four bottles, this is only if you bring your own wine) per booking, 1.5L bottles will get charged as DBL corkage. No external drinks will be allowed except for wine.
